14 & 15 November 2026 · Riding hall 2
Dog sports in the Ore Mountains.
When the dog sports club HSV Schnelle Schnauzen e. V. calls for a tournament, things heat up at Silver Rock Ranch in Elterlein. On 14 and 15 November the club is back with its Hoopers tournament — spectators welcome.

What is Hoopers?
- A course of hoops, tunnels, barrels and gates — no jumps
- Hoops and tunnels are run through, barrels and gates are run around
- Suitable for every dog, whatever age, breed or size
Distance work
- The handler does not run along: they bring the dog to the start and then stay in a marked area
- The dog is guided only by body language, hand signals and voice — from a distance
- Faults and time are scored, a judge watches closely
The club
- HSV Schnelle Schnauzen e. V. — rally obedience, agility and hoopers
- Trains in our riding hall during winter
- Around 60 starters per day at the Hoopers tournament
You would not think it, but equestrian sport and dog sport have a lot in common. That is what makes the cooperation between the club and Silver Rock Ranch work — over the years it has grown into a real friendship. Love for the animals and doing things together are the foundation.
All these disciplines are about precision and teamwork between dog and owner. Fun comes first — and a clean run may even be rewarded with a trophy.
