Rehab box with its own paddock.
After surgery, a clinic stay or an injury, your horse often needs box rest or controlled individual keeping for a few weeks or months. In many open stables that is not possible. That is why we have new, large single boxes with their own paddock at Silver Rock Ranch in Elterlein.

Which horses is it for?
The rehab and single boxes are meant for horses that cannot live in a herd or an open stable for a limited time, for example:
- after surgery
- after a clinic stay
- after an injury with prescribed box rest
- when your horse needs to be kept individually under control for a while
How long your horse stays depends on how it recovers – a typical stay is, for example, two to three months.
Rest first, movement step by step
In the box your horse can stand quietly. With its own paddock in front, it can gradually get more movement as soon as your vet gives the go-ahead – without having to join a herd straight away. Your vet decides what is allowed and when. Veterinary care stays with your own vet or clinic.
And afterwards?
Once your horse is fit for everyday life again, it can stay at the ranch: our livery stable offers open stables with settled herds and a stable wing with paddocks by the riding arena.
